HOUSE OF GRIMBORG is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. It's a one-woman-business, run by textile artist Lotta Grimborg, since 2018.
In the shop you will find collections of small-batch statement earrings. Each of the pieces are individually designed, sculpted, baked, sanded, and packaged by my hands. The earrings are made from recycled 935 silver from Germany and polymer clay.
HOUSE OF GRIMBORG earrings are delicate handmade items, and no two pieces are exactly alike, the antithesis to mass produced

HOUSE OF GRIMBORG cares about the environment, therefore I have a low waste policy, which means I don´t use any unnecessary materials or packaging. No clay is wasted and I collect and melt all silver waste to use it in new earrings. If an earring doesn't turn out as I was expecting I will sell it to reduced price.
Sustainability for me is when a product is handmade, the materials are carefully selected and the production is small-scale.
Each model and colour combination is made in a batch of 5 pairs, which makes the earrings more unique and the wearer more proud. I usually don't keep earrings in stock, I will start make them the day after you have placed your order.
I only use recycled 935 silver from Germany. The clay is made of polymer which is unfortunately not bio degradable, I haven't found one on the market, but I will keep on looking. I don't use any chemicals or glues in the production.
I try to be as sustainable as possible with the packing materials, by reducing all unnecessary items and using recycled materials. My hand stamped business cards and notes are made from 100% recycled paper. The jewelry boxes and backings are made from eco-friendly and FSC® certified cardboard. I use recycled bubble wrap and tissue paper to wrap your order.
